BVHA Delegation meets DC Bobade in Agra

A delegation of the BVHA met Divisional Commissioner Shri Sudhir Mahadev Bobade at his camp office on 26.05.2010 in Agra.

A four point memorandum was presented to the Commissioner.
  1. A master plan be prepared by the Government of Uttar Pradesh with proper participation of the local stake holders - the citizens, for an integrated development of the sacred town of Vrindavan.
  2. Vrindavan be declared and developed as a Tirtha Sthala.
  3. Yamuna to be brought back to the old ghats of Vrindavan dating back to the 15th century.
  4. Kumbh mela area be declared as protected Mela Bhumi

Outcome of the meeting: The Divisional Commissioner has assured the delegation that he will soon visit Vrindavan and understand the problems and then find a solution.

A meeting is also proposed in Vrindavan where the administration would share the details of the Vrindavan Development Plan of UP Chief Minister with the citizens of Vrindavan next month.

Sri Bobade has also accepted the request to participate in the celebration of the World Environment Day on 5th June at Kishor Van, Vrindavan.
